Paul Thomson Bernard (PTB) is one of the most "giving" music fans out there, you certainly MUST have seen him sharing artists' and labels' posts all over Facebook groups and events. For those uncountable hours and effort PTB has put into helping us and so many else on the scene to reach our audiences, he never asked a single penny. Now he does, though, to survive. Since he posted his GoFundMe appeal in November he has now reached the point where the surgery will be done (early February), but the fundraising hasn't reached its goal.

So, here's our payback. All stream and sales for the original release of SCALA's "Weightless" (released in Nov 2020) will now go to PTB's fundraising. But, not least, it's also made available again as "Weightloss" (obviously) via Bandcamp, for free, but with the GoFundMe appeal right here before your eyes. Help us help a friend!

"Hello Everyone, It's "PTB" here, I would be "Eternally Grateful" for any help possible in raising funds for this "Life-Changing Surgery" for me and my family. I have been "Signed-Off" work for the foreseeable future from my job as a "Self-Employed Taxi Driver" since 14/02/2023, Due to my knees (Severe Osteoarthritis) and lower back (Severe Sciatica) and I am having to use a walking stick to aide me while walking as I have become very unstable.

Both issues are causing me "Non-Stop Pain" and are affecting me both physically and mentally. I also have had a life-long issue with my weight which has both contributed and caused my current issues. I have currently been swimming to try keep my back and knees supple but I have never been able to cure my food addiction and this is the route of all my problems.

I am on waiting lists for weight management classes, psychological help and have previously enquired about getting some kind of surgical help to keep the weight off. "Obesity" is not treated as an addiction in the UK and receiving treatment through our national health service has become almost impossible with long waiting lists making me have to act.

Therefore I would like to finally take charge of my life and get "Gastric Sleeve Surgery" to help cure my food addiction. I see this as a route to a second chance at life and getting my life back to “Normal.” My current situation prevents me from having the money to allow me to pay for the surgery myself so I am here asking for your help. I have let my issue with food addiction leave me unemployed and I cannot let this addiction ruin my life completely.
